Halo Lane at Alameda Point
Halo Lane is part of the newer residential community at Alameda Point, located between Coronado Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue near the western edge of the Island. Developed within the larger Alameda Point Site A project, this pocket of homes combines modern residential design with easy access to the waterfront, parks, local businesses, and ferry service to San Francisco. Set slightly back from the immediate shoreline, Halo Lane has a quieter neighborhood feel while keeping the Seaplane Lagoon and surrounding waterfront just a short walk away.
A Neighborhood With Naval History
Even the name Halo Lane connects the neighborhood to Alameda Point’s past. The street was named after the USS Halo, one of the former naval vessels associated with Naval Air Station Alameda. When the City considered names for the interior paseos at Blocks 6 and 7, Halo Lane and nearby Starling Lane were chosen from Alameda’s official street-name list to continue the naval theme used throughout Site A.
The residential blocks were developed by Trumark Homes as part of the larger transformation of the former Naval Air Station into a new mixed-use neighborhood. The area includes contemporary townhome-style residences and other modern housing designed to fit within Alameda Point’s growing waterfront community.
Private Rooftop Decks
A private rooftop terrace with views of the Oakland hills and San Francisco across the Bay is a feature of many of the Trumark townhomes surrounding Halo Lane. The decks provide residents with private outdoor space without the maintenance of a yard, and they function as another place for morning coffee, dinner with friends, or sunset viewing. Many of the houses have balconies, which provide an additional outdoor space on the main living level. When combined, these areas complement the outdoor-oriented, walkable lifestyle that attracts residents to Alameda Point.
Designed for Walkable Waterfront Living
The neighborhood was planned with pedestrians in mind, with sidewalks, walkways lined with landscaping and greenery, and garage access that is often tucked away from the main pedestrian paths. Contemporary architecture, large windows, and clean exterior lines give the homes a modern feel while allowing plenty of natural light.
Halo Lane’s location is one of its biggest draws. Residents can reach the Seaplane Lagoon waterfront in just a few minutes, while nearby parks and pathways make it easy to walk, bike, or simply spend time outdoors with views across the Bay.
Easy Ferry Access
One of the biggest conveniences of living near Halo Lane is the nearby Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal, which offers direct service to Downtown San Francisco in about 20 minutes. The Main Street Alameda Ferry Terminal is also nearby, giving residents another option for getting around the Bay without relying on a car.
A Vibrant Social Hub & Gathering Space
Halo Lane is also close to some of Alameda Point’s most popular gathering spots. Nearby destinations like Almanac Beer Co. regularly draw locals for rotating food trucks, trivia nights, live music, makers’ markets, and seasonal events, making it easy to find something social to do on evenings and weekends.
